Hi and welcome!!
Thanks for stopping by – I’m glad you’re here.
My name is Tim Graettinger. I’m a data scientist by profession, a writer by instinct, and a lifelong student.
I like data.
I like to collect it, explore it, visualize it, model it… you name it. And I write code to do all of it.
Data helps me ask better questions and think more clearly. It offers me a thoughtful way to engage with the world.
This site is where I write about my attempts to figure things out using data and code, like:
- How much rainfall is enough for our garden?
- Could our solar system power our house AND an electric vehicle?
- Where can my Toastmasters club meet?
If these sound like interesting questions to you, hang out and read some of the latest articles. Or shoot me an email and let me know how you use data to figure things out for yourself. I’d love to hear what you’re working on!
